Day 7

Day 7
Day 7. Big mistake (but maybe bad luck): we drove 4 hours each way in Wrangler/St Elias National Park to McCarthy. It was raining almost non-stop. Ok views but not worth 8 hours on unpaved road. Evening: sauna, lake and sauna again. Maftouls love sauna and have it in their house, I was ok for 10...

Day 8

Day 8
Memorable breakfast: pancakes with a bowl of blueberry/raspberry fresh made jam. We all decided that The Point Lodge was a great place to stay although it added good 90 miles to our driving. Our alternative, Glenallenn, was not attractive at all. Rainy day again. We drove tru Delta Junction...

Even Mt.McKinley, which was hiding all day, appeared very clearly at 3pm. The day ended at our most expensive...

Last picture at Denali - and we are off to Anchorage. We visited the village of Talkeetna hoping to see McKinley again (all...
